Open Letters

A Dear Friend Letter.

Dear Friend,

I know today feels a little scary, but don’t worry, my prayers are with you.  I hope you know that I love you.  Your support has meant more than you’ll ever know.  So when it’s all over, I’ll be here.  Thank you for being who you are.  You can’t fathom how special of an individual that God has made in you.  Life knocks us down so we can get up again to tackle the next hurdle, and be stronger because of it.

I came across this quote and thought of you:

“I do not believe that the accident of birth makes people sisters and brothers. It makes them siblings. Gives them mutuality of parentage. Sisterhood and brotherhood are conditions people have to work at. It’s a serious matter. You compromise, you give, you take, you stand firm, and you’re relentless…And it is an investment. Sisterhood means if you happen to be in Burma and I happen to be in San Diego and I’m married to someone who is very jealous and you’re married to somebody who is very possessive, if you call me in the middle of the night, I have to come.” – Maya Angelou.

It’s rare that I meet a person who gets me. Thank you for being a wonderful, abundantly loving, and understanding…you.

Hope this makes you smile 🙂
